CAMP HEARTWOOD MYSTERY

INTRO

Camp Heartwood Mystery is currently being created and we hope to welcome our first participants in an enchanted summer that is not too far away from the latest one. We suspect the summer of  2013 will be our first. We are currently offering similar, modified programs through Elfhood Unschool.

Eventually Camp Heartwood Mystery will be an accredited OCA camp offering programs and de-programs year-round. Sarabi, co-director of the camp, has an extensive background in outdoor education and summer camping, and the aura of home that a true camp can generate is what inspired her to continue to work, Live, Love and Learn in a small, vibrant camp community almost every summer of her life. She has been the assistant director of Camp Prospect and the director of Mulmur Hills Camp, both OCA accredited camps, and her work as a teacher at Upper Canada College’s Norval Outdoor School and Mansfield Outdoor Centre have expanded her experience of and passion for the realms of outdoor education, experiential education and the profound benefits of summer camp for campers and staff alike.

DESCRIPTION

Camp Heartwood Mystery blends the natural living and outdoor fun of a traditional camp with the soul-making of a mystery school. A Mystery School is a camp or university for the soul, a place where the wise elders trained the future leaders of humanity.

Through “education” and other cultural systems we are each taught to be what the world demands, which is often at odds with what we are naturally and authentically. Our Authentic Self is free of limiting beliefs, but along the journey of life we accumulate programs, limitations and beliefs that cause us to hide, give away, or lose pieces of our Essence and Authenticity. We collect layers of density in the form of frustration, anger, despair, anxiety, guilt, greed, confusion and unfulfilled dreams. One of the deepest fears we hold is the belief we cannot create that which our heart deeply desires.

Camp Heartwood Mystery is a place to rediscover our heart, our dreams, our potential, and how by exercising and living these dreams we can assist the planet’s evolution and transformation from the old reality models, to the new. Free yourself from the limitations and baggage that prevents you from leading the extraordinary magical and heart-filled life you may have even stopped dreaming about.
